Dr. MANSUR ISA YELWA is a Senior Lecturer and Head, Department of Islamic Law, Bayero University, Kano, Nigeria. He specializes in Islamic Law; Comparative Law; Qur’anic Sciences; Conflict Resolution; Islamic Economics & Finance. He is an epitome of knowledge having been appointed to numerous board, committee and departments amongst others. Presently the Chief Imam of Abubakar Tafawa Balewa University, Bauchi.
Credited to his name are books and over 15 publications in different journals. He is a member of the international institute of Muslim Unity (IMU), Malaysia and a Registered Professional Teacher, Teachers Registration Council of Nigeria. In 1996, he was the Winner of the 4th Category Males National Qur’anic Recitation Competition held in Abuja and Best Paper Award Winner, International Seminar on al-Qur’an in Contemporary Society, Terengganu, Malaysia in 2012.
