Barrister Hussaina Umar Yuguda is the Chief Compliance Officer, Salam Takaful Insurance. Hussaina is a graduate of Ahmadu Bello University Zaria with a degree in law with specialization in Islamic Law and was called to the Nigerian Bar in February 2003. A holder of a Post Graduate Diploma in International Law and Diplomacy followed by a masters degree (LLM) all from ABU Zaria. She is a Fellow of The Institute of Islamic Finance Professionals of Nigeria and an active member of The Nigeria Bar Association.

Her Career started with the then Yankari Insurance Company Ltd, presently Fin Insurance Company Ltd as the company secretary/legal adviser from 2003 to 2012. In April 2013 she moved to the then Penman Pensions LTD currently known as AXA Mansard Pensions LTD as the company secretary / Legal Adviser and worked in that position till 2016. From 2016 -2018 she became the Head Public Sector (North) II in AXA Mansard Insurance. In 2018 she joined a private legal practice with Sabi Abubakar and Co Legal Practitioners and Solicitors.
